It is shown in the literature (using the Post—Yablonsky theorem) that a complete set of Boolean operations cannot have a cardinal number greater than four. It is the object of this paper to improve this bound and prove that a complete set can have a cardinal number of at most three or, in other words, there does not exist a complete (non–redundant) set of more than three Boolean operations. The proof given here is constructive, using the Post—Yablonsky theorem, truth tables and combinatorial set theory.  相似文献

In this article, we address detectability for the class of linear switching systems. We focus on some hybrid state-space decompositions of the original switching system based on hybrid invariant subspaces, which yield a complexity reduction in checking detectability. We show that the reduced system extracted from the original system is the minimal bisimilar switching system associated with it. An example is also included which shows the applicability and benefits of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this article, a distributed fault detection and isolation (FDI) method is developed for a class of interconnected nonlinear uncertain systems. In the distributed FDI architecture, a FDI component is designed for each subsystem in the interconnected system. For each subsystem, its corresponding local FDI component is designed by utilising local measurements and certain communicated information from neighbouring FDI components associated with subsystems that are directly interconnected to the particular subsystem under consideration. Under certain assumptions, adaptive thresholds for distributed FDI in each subsystem are derived, ensuring robustness with respect to interactions among subsystems and system modelling uncertainty. Moreover, the fault detectability and isolability conditions are rigorously investigated, characterising the class of faults in each subsystem that are detectable and isolable by the proposed distributed FDI method. Additionally, the stability and learning capability of the local adaptive fault isolation estimators designed for each subsystem is established. A simulation example of interconnected inverted pendulums mounted on carts is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.  相似文献

A simplified probabilistic fault grading method is described. The concept of propagation probability is introduced in place of the sensitization probability of STAFAN, and the empirical parameters of STAFAN are eliminated. The division of input vectors into subsets is monitored by the activation or toggle rate. The accuracy of the method is examined for fault coverage estimation and for predicting the undetected faults.  相似文献

Stability of differential inclusions defined by locally Lipschitz compact valued mappings is considered. It is shown that if such a differential inclusion is globally asymptotically stable, then, in fact, it is uniformly globally asymptotically stable (with respect to initial states in compacts). This statement is trivial for differential equations, but here we provide the extension to compact- (not necessarily convex-) valued differential inclusions. The main result is presented in a context which is useful for control-theoretic applications: a differential inclusion with two outputs is considered, and the result applies to the property of global error detectability.  相似文献

The componentwise exponential asymptotically stable (CWEAS) observer is defined. Its estimation error is componentwise and absolutely bounded by prespecified decaying exponentials. Using the notion of CWEAS introduced earlier, an existence condition for such an observer is proved. Via eigenvalues location and convexity of certain functions one states the maximization problem of the damping factor of the above exponentials and introduces and characterizes the CWEAS detectability. This is an explicit property of the observability pair (A, C), which, under a certain condition involving the pair (B, D), suffices for strong* detectability and therefore for the existence of a strong observer.  相似文献

The theory of signal detectability assumes that the central effect of a stimulus varies because of physical and neural noise; consequently, the detection of a signal requires a central statistical decision procedure. Similar assumptions have been made by psychophysicists to explain the results of traditional threshold measurement procedures. The interrelations between signal detectability and threshold measures are discussed in relation to psychophysical statistical decision theory, and it is shown that (a) the false positive rate should be related to the Crozier ratio C = ΔΙ/?ΔΙ, and (b) it should be possible to use responses given in the method of constant stimuli to predict the value of d' that will be assigned to a given stimulus by a signal detectability procedure. Evidence supporting both predictions is reported, and the relation between threshold measures and "personality tests" is discussed.
